MORRISTOWN, New Jersey—BibleMesh and the missions organization Christar have announced a new academic partnership for training cross-cultural workers to unreached people groups around the world.
Under the partnership, Christar’s appointed workers will earn an academic certificate through BibleMesh’s online portal for trusted theological education. The certificate will serve as the official Bible and theology training regimen for the agency and include a core of courses in New Testament, Old Testament, apologetics, and church history.
“Christar strives to train outgoing workers with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to effectively reach the least-reached around the world,” said Karen T., Christar’s pre-field training coordinator. “We are excited to partner with BibleMesh, who will provide assessments and online Bible and theological courses as part of our appointee training process. We are confident that BibleMesh will provide quality training with a personal touch.”
Formed through the merger of three 20th-century missions organizations focused on China, India, and Iran, Christar’s goal is planting indigenous churches in areas where people have no access to a congregation that presents the gospel in their language and in a culturally relevant way. Christar focuses on Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and other unreached Asian groups. Its work spans Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and North America, with nearly 300 workers serving in over 30 countries with more than 70 different people groups.
BibleMesh Institute Director Benjamin Quinn said BibleMesh is “committed to delivering theological education in ways that enable people to serve in ministries across the world. BibleMesh not only provides a new means of academic delivery, but also education of the highest academic quality. The global Church requires such a resource for such a time as this.”
